Marie is a Swedish artist, book cover designer and writer. She was born in Sweden in 2001. After spending most of her life in Skåne, she ended up moving to Stockholm in 2020 to learn and study astronomy, but instead refound her love for reading and drawing. As of 2022, Marie moved back to Skåne and is now living by herself with her cat, Myos.

I’ve always had a huge love for creating art, but it wasn’t until 2021 that I started to explore more with my personal style. I started creating different character designs. I slowly went on to create bigger projects, mainly focusing on book covers. In late April of 2022, I got to participate in my first big project where I got to design a cover for author Kathryn Bradley’s debut book, Insignificant Others, as well as books in her Hollytree book series.

Projects: Covers, character design, logos and various other artforms.

Cover design, The good part by Kathryn Bradley
Back in May, after finishing The Best Medicine, Kathryn asked if I would like to continue drawing artwork for her Hollytree book series. It took both me and Kathryn a long time until we had a vision for the cover. For every step, I kept Kathryn informed on the changes and made sure.

After finishing Insignificant Others, I got the opportunity to create another cover for Kathryn Bradley. For this cover, I got a lot more creative freedom. I still kept making sure she liked what I was doing and that she was happy with the end result.

Cover design, Insignificant others by Kathryn Bradley
While working with Kathryn Bradley, I got to experiment a lot with my own art style and how it is to bring someone elses ideas to life. I kept her informed throughout the process of what I was doing and made sure she liked it.
